LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA– The state of California recently passed a new law that requires pet owners to get identification cards for their dogs due to the extreme influx of illegal immigrant canines crossing the Pacific Ocean as well as the southern border near Mexico to commit felonious acts.
In a statement put out by the governor’s office, a new canine police task force will be implemented to try and catch illegal curs, making the new ID cards a necessity.
The ID cards will make it easier for these canine police officers to round up any illegal dogs and either send them back over the border or just shoot them in order to save taxpayer money.
“Pet owners will be required to show their dog’s ID card whenever stopped by our new canine police officers,” said Charlie Chaplin, spokesman for the governor’s office. “We’ve set up checkpoints up and down the California coast in an effort to catch the numerous amount of dogs swimming in illegally from as far as China, South Korea, and Indonesia in the hopes of not ending up as a meal.”
Getting an identification card for a dog will be a simple process, says Chaplin. Booths will be set up inside DMV buildings where humans get their driver’s licenses.
“It’s an ingenious idea, I know,” Chaplin added as he showed reporters a chart written in crayon. “This chart shows how many illegal canines of all breeds enter into the United States every year.
“We’ve only implemented this new law two weeks ago and already officers rounded up over 2,000 illegal canines who were posing as real pets or being sold on the pet black market as seeing eye dogs. People don’t realize just how dangerous these dogs can be. Most of them don’t speak English and carry a foreign Chinese flea said to be twice the size of our own fleas.”
