CHICAGO, ILLINOIS — As criticism continues to mount over the appearance of the new Obama Presidential Library, legendary musician Stevie Wonder has emerged as perhaps the project’s most enthusiastic supporter, telling reporters that he doesn’t see any problem at all with the building’s design.
The 225-foot granite structure has faced intense backlash from locals and people from across the country, however the 25-time Grammy winner offered a refreshing, highly unique perspective that completely blindsided the building’s detractors.
“I’ve heard people comparing it to a giant trash can, a concrete monolith, a Soviet prison, and an abandoned office building,” Wonder told journalists. “But personally, I don’t see any of that. To me, the lines are incredibly smooth, the lighting feels perfectly balanced, and the integration into the neighborhood is entirely seamless. It looks totally fine.”
The Obama Foundation immediately seized on the legendary singer-songwriter’s remarks, blasting them across social media as proof that the building’s aesthetic is “profoundly understood by true visionaries.”
Sources say Wonder’s glowing review now appears prominently on the library website beneath the quote: ‘I don’t see any problem with it.’
At press time, library officials had announced plans to offer visitors complimentary blindfolds in hopes of improving overall satisfaction ratings.
