TORONTO, CANADA– It was a heart-wrenching scene at a medical office in Toronto for a Canadian doctor who had the unfortunate task of giving one of his patients the terrible news that she was going to live.
Dr. Pierre Pamplemousse, a renowned euthanasia specialist, collapsed in tears as he delivered the worst news of his career to one of his female patients Martha Barney that a major mistake made at his office that was supposed to kill her ended up saving her life instead.
“Martha, I, I, um, I have some terrible news to tell you,” said Dr. Pamplemousse as tears welled up within his eyes. “Martha, there’s no easy way to tell you this, but it is with great sadness that I must inform you that you’re going to live. And not only are you going to live, but thanks to a fatal error by my medical team to try to euthanize you for your skin rash, you are going to also be very, very healthy. I’m so sorry.”
According to family members, Martha tried to remain in good spirits despite the bad news that she was going to live for a very long time, long enough to see her grandchildren grow up, get married, and have children of their own. The patient said she has contacted another Canadian doctor to euthanize her for her skin rash and is awaiting her appointment scheduled for 2029.
Due to the seriousness of the Canadian doctor’s error, the government of Canada has revoked the doctor’s medical license and has charged him with medical malpractice. Prime Minister Mark Carney weighed in on the controversy, promising to do everything in his power to make sure these medical errors never happen again and has called on physicians to double their efforts at helping to reduce the population of native-born Canadian citizens.
