WASHINGTON– After going back and forth with Barack Obama on Twitter regarding a recent article that Obama sort of-kind of endorsed accusing him of racism, Donald Trump challenged the former president to a one on one thumb wrestling match.
Obama, who hasn’t commented on the current political scene since two hours ago, came out of hiding to sort of-kind of endorse an op-ed written by 148 African Americans who served in his administration.
Reliable news source The Washington Post published the op-ed on Friday and under the headline it stated that “Americans will no longer sit by idly as the racist, sexist, xenophobic, misogynist, homophobic, transphobic, Islamophobic, humanphobic, deranged, white supremacist, Scrooge-like, Grinch-esque, animal hating, butterfly squashing, dastardly, America-hating president continues to destroy our democracy.”
The op-ed was partially aimed at Trump’s comments about sending Congresswoman Ilhan Omar back to her home country of Somalia.
Once Trump caught wind of Obama’s sort of-kind of endorsement of The Washington Times op-ed, the president immediately took to Twitter to not only voice his displeasure to the article, but to challenge the former president to a thumb wrestling match to see who’s the more masculine man.
“Obama loves taking sneaky shots at me,” Trump tweeted, the first in series of angry tweets. “Let’s see him say those things to my face. I say, Obama faces me in the ring in a televised thumb wrestling match to see who’s the real man.”
Trump went on to say that if Obama is too scared to accept his challenge than perhaps his wife Michelle can stand in for him.
“Obama will never accept the challenge,” Trump tweeted later. “He knows my massive manly thumbs will make mincemeat out of his little girly thumbs.”
Obama immediately shot back at Trump, tweeting that even though Trump’s Twitter thumb is strong, he accepts his challenge.
“Even though I realize Tweeter Trump,” Obama said in the tweet, “has the upper hand when it comes to “thumb usage,” I accept his challenge and look forward to disabling his tweeting thumb.”
A few tweets later, Trump added, “This’ll be the fastest wrestling match in history, folks. Obama’s weak girly fingers are no match for my massive thumbs. I’ve never seen thumbs as masculine as mine.”
Sources say there’s been no word yet on an official date of the thumb wrestling match between the two politicians, other than both Trump and Obama stated that the match can’t interfere with either one of their upcoming vacations.
