QUEENS, NEW YORK– Popular Democratic politician Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) has revealed that she is part Asian, making the discovery after visiting a local Chinese restaurant.
During an Asian convention in Queens celebrating popular young Puerto Rican American female politicians with Jewish and Asian heritage, the progressive Democrat said that she discovered that she was part Asian while walking home from a Hanukkah event in December.
AOC, who was sworn into office on January 3rd, said her revelation came after spotting Chow’s Gull Burger Chinese restaurant on the corner of Fifth and Main.
“Like, I couldn’t, like, believe it when I found out,” Ocasio-Cotez, 34, said during an Asian heritage event in Queens, referring to the discovery of of her Asian heritage. “OMG, as soon as I walked into that Chinese restaurant I knew, like, that I was part China-woman.”
Once she started eating the Chinese food, she added, she could feel just how Asian she was.
Ocasio-Cortez went on to say that all popular young Puerto Rican American female politicians with Jewish and Asian heritage are an “amalgamation”, a word that she learned on reputable news site Twitter
The congresswoman told the packed crowd of empty seats inside of the Asian heritage event this was the first time she’s spoken publicly about her Asian roots.
“Like, I’m one of you people now,” she said proudly, waving a Chinese flag while listening to Kpop group Bangtan Boys. “C’mon, brothers and sisters, let’s own it. New York in the house!”
Before ending the solo celebration, AOC stunned the empty building even further by revealing yet another unknown secret about her heritage that she discovered today on the way to this event.
“As I was walking to this Gucci event,” she added with fire in her eyes, “I saw a pet store and went inside. That’s where I discovered that I’m also part kitty-cat.”
The popular young Puerto Rican American female politician with Jewish and Asian heritage says that she now goes by the name Ocatsio-Cortez, in honor of her feline ancestry.
