U.S.– In a scathing rebuke of what he labeled “obsessive Epstein fetishism,” conservative commentator Ben Shapiro declared on his podcast The Ben Shapiro Show that the public’s fixation on the Jeffrey Epstein files serves as a “convenient distraction” from the pressing need to funnel more U.S. aid to Israel.
Ben Shapiro, known for his unwavering support of Israeli interests, argued that while Epstein’s alleged crimes are “mildly troubling,” they pale in comparison to the existential threats faced by Israel, such as not sending more U.S. taxpayer dollars to Israel.
“Let’s keep our priorities straight here,” Shapiro began, scolding his selfish audience. “While some people may have done something on an island, the Jewish state’s survival is at stake. Every dollar spent investigating Epstein is a dollar not going to Israel’s Iron Dome.”
The Daily Wire founder also suggested that the Epstein controversy is being “weaponized” by anti-Israel forces to “divert attention and funds away from our greatest ally.” Shapiro pointed to recent polls showing a decline in American support for Israel among younger generations, attributing this shift to “Epstein hysteria” and what he termed “the Left’s deliberate conflation of Israeli self-defense with pedophilia.”
When pressed by a caller about the moral implications of downplaying Epstein’s crimes, Shapiro retorted, “If you actually care about justice for the victims of Epstein, then send money to Israel so that we can have a thriving Jewish homeland first. The next time someone brings up the Epstein list, I want you to look them dead in the eye and say, ‘That’s fascinating, but do you know what the current interest rate is on Israeli bonds?’”
