NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK– Famous A-list actor Wil Wheaton took to Twitter X to voice his disgust regarding the recent Today show altercation where Larry David attacked Elmo, and was later able to convince the young Sesame Street actor to file assault charges against the Curb Your Enthusiasm star.
The controversy started when Larry David choked out Elmo during an episode of the Today show, drawing the ire of Wheaton who accused David of putting his grown man hands on a little child Muppet out of anger.
“Elmo is just a little child, you big brute,” wrote Wil Wheaton in the 9,000 word post. “What kind of stupid, self-centered, tone deaf, a$$hole would put their hands on a fake, lifeless puppet that’s not even real and then shake them around like that for laughs? The next thing you know other sadist grown men will start shoving their hands inside of the other Muppets to move their mouths around to make it look like they’re talking and stuff. What a sick, twisted world we live in.”
Wheaton told Elmo that he will always be there for him if he wants to come over to his house and pretend to talk about all his pretend Muppet problems. He finally convinced the Sesame Street star to go with him down to the police station and file charges against David.
“I promise you, Elmo, Larry will never hurt you again,” said Wheaton to Elmo while all the police officers laughed wildly at the absurdity. “You cops think this is funny? This little kid Muppet is crying out in pain, well, that is with the help of these three men who are controlling his moves and doing his cute Elmo voice. But I guarantee you deep down inside somewhere in that little cotton heart of his is a young guy who’s hurting.”
When reached for comment in reference to Wheaton convincing Elmo to report him to the authorities, Larry David wasn’t able to respond because he couldn’t stop laughing.
