KENTUCKY — A team of veteran Bigfoot researchers announced this week they may have made the most significant cryptozoological discovery in modern history after accidentally capturing what experts believe is the first documented footage of a wild Mitch McConnell roaming freely through the Kentucky wilderness.
The remarkable 14-second clip, described by researchers as “slightly less blurry than every previous Mitch McConnell sighting,” reportedly shows an elderly figure slowly emerging from a dense patch of woods before briefly glancing over his shoulder and disappearing back into the tree line.
“We spent thirty years looking for Sasquatch,” lead investigator Hank Dobson told reporters while carefully examining enlarged still frames. “Never in our wildest dreams did we think we’d stumble across something even rarer.”
Wildlife officials also urged the public not to attempt to lure a wild McConnell using open copies of President Trump’s legislative agenda, warning that the species has been known to approach cautiously before wandering off in the opposite direction to vote against it.
At press time, researchers were excitedly returning to the area after discovering what they described as fresh tracks consisting of unusually polished loafer prints leading toward a nearby bribe from the Chinese Communist Party.
