QUEBEC, CANADA– In a regretful tragedy that has left the Canadian medical community reeling, a prominent Quebec physician was reduced to tears after his perfectly healthy patient flat-out refused to embrace Canada’s beloved euthanasia option.
The incident left Canadian euthanasia specialist Dr. Hurluberlu inconsolable, with witnesses reporting the doctor collapsing onto his desk and questioning his competency as a medical professional to get robust patients to end their lives in an effort to save them from the ill-effects of longevity.
“I don’t understand, I did everything to get my patient to end his life,” said Dr. Hurluberlu while sobbing uncontrollably. “How could he say no? I mean, it just makes no sense. He’s perfectly healthy and probably going to live a long, long life. He’s the prefect candidate to be euthanized. I can’t believe I let another one slip through my fingers.”
Colleagues of the traumatized doctor described the incident as “heartbreaking” and took the rest of the day off to mourn the victim who refused to be euthanized. Canadian euthanasia advocates later held a candlelight vigil to mourn the loss of a perfectly good MAID opportunity.
Health Canada officials issued a statement castigating Dr. Hurluberlu’s failure at ending the life of his patient and will be requiring doctors to undergo better training at convincing healthy people to be put to death.
