LONDON– Standing nearby King Charles’ Buckingham Palace, a group of British activists called “No Kings” staged a raucous protest against U.S. President Donald Trump for who they claim has been acting like a king.
The protest drew a modest crowd of forty-seven British activists holding up signs that read “Down with American monarchy” and “How can a country have a king?,” decrying Trump’s kingly behavior during his time in office.
“Trump is acting as though he were a king,” yelled a protester as a few of the UK King’s Guard pushed through the crowd of blissfully ignorant people. “What’s next? Is Trump going to put a crown on his head and carry a scepter? Imagine having to live in a country with a ruler like that?”
One of the protesters told reporters that he would rather die than live under the rule of a king, later reminding one of his fellow activists to pay their necessary taxes to the Royal Family.
