WASHINGTON– Only one day after Cory Booker made history with the longest Senate floor speech of all time, Republican Senator Mitch McConnell defeated the New Jersey senator’s 25-hour speech by taking 26-hours just to finish speaking one sentence.
After Democrats finished praising Booker’s long-winded tirade against President Trump removing government corruption, Sen. Mitch McConnell got up to tell everyone “goodnight” and inadvertently smashed his Democrat colleague’s record by almost one hour.
“I…………..just…………,” said Mitch McConnell after eight hours, “…………wanted……………..to…………….tell……………everyone…………..goodnight.”
Between every word McConnell would freeze for approximately three to four hours before unfreezing, saying one word, and then freezing once again. McConnell actually had no intention of trying to beat Booker’s record-long speech being that he also hates Donald Trump and agrees with everything the Democrats say about the Republican president.
At publishing time, it was reported that the McConnell’s record had been broken already after California Democrat Adam Schiff took 27-hours to talk about how he has proof that Trump is a Russian agent but he can’t show anyone the proof because they have to just take his word for it.
