NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE– A recent Elvis sighting has the world rejoicing. Experts believe that this may very well be the real King of Rock and Roll this time, who most people believe died in 1977.
Billy Cobb, a 49 year old Nashville resident, claims that he saw Elvis Presley on his television while sitting on his couch and drinking a beer.
“I couldn’t believe it when I saw it,” Cobb told a reporter from an Elvis Presley fan club. “I was just sittin’ there on my couch drinkin’ a cold one when I saw the King himself. And no, I wasn’t drunk when it happened.
“I yelled to my wife to go get our camera,” he added as he showed the reporter the photo he took of the man presumedly Elvis. “I done already taken this here photo to an expert Walmart mannequin photographer down at the local Walmart photo lab and he agrees that this here really is the King.”
Genuine Elvis sightings are as rare as real Bigfoot sightings or sightings of Marco Rubio actually attending Senate votes.
“I already have this here photo up on Ebay,” Cobb said with a smile. “Bidding’s already at $39. With that kinda money, I might just be able to take the ole wife to somewhere special for dinner, like that new McDonald’s restaurant that opened up in the Walmart down the street. Them Walmart mannequins sure know how to whip up a burger.”
