WASHINGTON– Senate Democrats have delayed the confirmation votes for President Donald Trump’s Cabinet nominees once again, saying they would only begin the process once Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman finds a suit to put on.
Frustrated Republicans have accused the Democrats of stalling again in an effort to impede Trump’s agenda, knowing full well that the slob Fetterman will probably never put on a suit.
“We will be utilizing our right to delay the confirmation votes,” said Democrat Minority Leader Chuck Schumer on the Senate floor. “Making a judgement on the credibility of President Trump’s Cabinet picks takes time, so Democrats are invoking our right to postpone the confirmations until our fellow Democratic Senator John Fetterman can find himself a suit, dress shirt, and tie. I’m sure that won’t take any longer than than three, maybe four years at the most.”
Senator Fetterman has made headlines time and time again for wearing hoodies, shorts, and sneakers to Congress and during very important meetings and events. Republicans claim Fetterman owns at least one suit and have opened an investigation into the controversy, which the media has now dubbed “Suitgate.”
It was later reported that Republicans had finally gotten Fetterman to wear a suit after they placed a cardboard cutout of Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu inside the Senate chambers since that was one of the only reported times the Pennsylvania senator was seen dressed up.
