U.S.– American news magazine Newsweek has recently been nominated for the prestigious Pulitzer Prize after investigative journalists at the publication discovered that Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump does not actually work at McDonald’s and that his work time there was all staged.
During Trump’s McDonald’s stint Sunday where he put on an apron and worked the fry station and drive-through window as part of his campaign, numerous talking heads in the news media began questioning whether the billionaire businessman actually worked for the fast-food restaurant. Hundreds of journalists at Newsweek spent an entire day searching through records and contacting various people only to discover that Trump doesn’t work at McDonald’s.
“Donald Trump has been caught lying once again,” wrote a journalist at Newsweek the next morning. “After an immense amount of investigation, the highly competent geniuses here at Newsweek have discovered that former President Trump does not work for the McDonald’s organization in any way whatsoever. Our sources have informed us that this was some type of staged event for Trump’s campaign in an effort to win over voters. We’ll keep you updated as more information comes in.”
Various leftwing outlets have praised Newsweek for their groundbreaking discovery and then came together to nominate the news magazine for making such a startling discovery about Trump’s falsified work history, totally glossing over the fact that McDonald’s recently released a statement that Kamala Harris also never worked for the fast-food chain either.
In spite of the controversy, Trump still worked his entire shift and has already received his own nomination for McDonald’s Employee of the Month.
