WASHINGTON– It appears as though President Donald Trump is boldly going where no president has gone before. A new geological feature on Mars looks almost identical to our 45th president and the Twitter universe is going wild.
The now-viral image appears to be a shape of a man’s face that strangely resembles Trump. The shape was captured by NASA Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter’s HiRISE camera and is essentially a “faceprint” of an old dune.
Those faceprints occurred in the year 2084 after a bomb was detonated during an intense battle between a bored construction worker named Douglas Quaid and then Mars governor Vilos Cohaagen, according to scientist Matt Venus of the Total Recall Science Institute.
That explosion caused a volcanic eruption that caused lava to flow around the dunes, leaving the distinctive-looking shapes.
Even though news media outlets such as CNN and Fox News are talking about the similarities between the dune and President Trump, NASA spokesman Dr. Edgemar says that it’s only a coincidence.
“No offense to President Trump,” Dr. Edgemar said as he sweat nervously with his assistant Lori Quaid by his side, “but there’s no way possible that an explosion that hasn’t occurred yet could possibly know that Donald Trump would be President of the United States in the year 2016.”
From his Rekall laboratory, Dr. Edgemar went on to say that this whole experience was merely a dream as he handed the entire CNN and Fox News reporters small red pills to swallow.
