HAPPY CAMP, CALIFORNIA– The happiest family in the world will be getting their own television show on the TLC channel, making this the 587th new reality show to premiere this season. Hailing from Happy Camp, the Pleasant Family was first noticed by TLC after producers opened a telephone book and saw someone with the last name Pleasant in it.
Promotions that have been airing nonstop on TLC state that the new show, titled The Pleasants: Overjoyed and Ecstatic, will follow the ecstatic day to day activities of the Pleasants. Sources say that this new reality show will be the most uplifting and upbeat show that’s ever been produced.
“Oh my good God, I am so happy to be here,” shouted 39 year old Chipper Pleasant with a toothy grin, patriarch of the Pleasant family. “I couldn’t believe how happy I was when these wonderful guys from TLC called my nice phone and left me the sweetest message I’ve ever heard in my happy, bubblegum life. After hearing the blessed news I donated both of my kidneys to a beautiful homeless man and went right out and ran twenty miles in the rain for charity. I was so pleasantly happy when I ended up in the emergency room.”
Chipper, who works as a door greeter for Walmart, says that his wife Merry was beyond overjoyed at the news of getting their own reality show.

The idea to make a reality show about a happy family came about after TLC’s failed show about the most miserable family in the world was canceled due to most viewers being able to relate to being miserable.
While jumping up and down for joy, Chipper introduced his three children, Sunny, Jolly, and Lively. “Come over here, my peppy and sparkling children,” he yelped as his children skipped into the room singing Christmas carols. “Wonderful people, these are the greatest and most elated children you’ll ever meet. Just look at those happy faces. I impregnated my fabulous wife with candy and everything sweet to get these gleeful angels. My tickled wife and I were walking on air after they were born.”
Look for The Pleasants: Overjoyed and Ecstatic to air this fall on the TLC network every morning at 7 a.m. when most people are feeling groggy and miserable due to being hungover or not wanting to go to work.
