ST. PAUL, MINNESOTA — In the wake of an FBI operation that thwarted an ISIS-inspired mass shooting plot at the Mall of America, Minnesota Democrats held an emergency joint press conference Thursday to express deep concern that aggressive federal law enforcement could destabilize the state’s rapidly expanding Somali fraud economy.
Standing alongside Ilhan Omar and members of the Somali community, Governor Tim Walz cautioned that interrupting active terror plots without proper bureaucratic consultation risks causing a catastrophic chilling effect across Minnesota’s multi-million-dollar phantom daycare and welfare embezzlement ecosystem.
“I understand the FBI is trying to keep mall shoppers safe, but at what cost?” Walz said, adjusting his tampon. “When federal agents suddenly swoop in and arrest a local Somali youth in a Richfield park just because he’s buying an AK-47, it sends a terrifying message to small business owners who are simply trying to bill the Department of Human Services for 4,000 non-existent children.”
Rep. Ilhan Omar slammed the arrest as a distraction from the real threat of white supremacy in America, warning that arresting local radicals could bring Minnesota’s wire-transfer economy to a standstill and leave millions in state grants sitting idle in Excel spreadsheets.
At press time, state officials reassured residents that despite federal interference, Minnesota remains fully committed to its core public investment goals, promising that no matter how many terrorism investigations the FBI conducts, taxpayer dollars will continue flowing to vacant storefronts and imaginary toddlers.
