TORONTO, ONTARIO — In a shocking display of bigotry and public indecency, a local 34-year-old Canadian man was tackled to the pavement and arrested by Toronto police Sunday afternoon for the egregious crime of wearing clothes within 500 feet of a Pride parade.
The suspect, identified as Mark Peterson, reportedly wandered into the designated “Textile-Free Inclusion Zone” while attempting to walk to a nearby Tim Hortons. Dozens of fully naked parade-goers gasped in horror as the man brazenly flaunted his cotton-blend apparel in broad daylight.
“It was the most disgusting thing I’ve ever seen,” said local parade-goer Sparkle Hoof, who was wearing nothing but a leather harness and a smile. “There was young children here to see the beautiful, uninhibited displays of adult male anatomy, and suddenly this clothed monster walks by completely covered in fabric. Who flaunts a hoodie in public like that? Think of the children!”
Canadian officials were quick to condemn the clothed man’s actions, vowing to crack down on unauthorized fabrics during the month of June, with Prime Minister Mark Carney issuing a solemn, tearful apology to the LGBTQ+ community on national television.
At publishing time, Toronto City Council had unanimously passed a new bylaw requiring all citizens to maintain a strict minimum of 80% skin exposure whenever stepping outside, just to be on the safe side.
