WASHINGTON– In a combative press briefing on Wednesday, President Donald Trump fiercely defended his refusal to pressure the North Pole to declassify Santa Claus’s legendary “Naughty List,” dismissing the existence of the list of misbehaving individuals as a total Democrat hoax and a witch hunt against Christmas.
The exchange occurred after reporters pressed the President on why, despite his 2024 campaign promises of total transparency, his administration was blocking Freedom of Information Act requests regarding the names on Mr. Claus’s controversial ledger.
“You still talking about this Santa’s Naughty List?” Trump snapped at a news reporter after the subject came up once again. “Look, there is no Naughty List. It’s a scam perpetrated by the Radical Left Democrats. Everybody knows it. Very dishonest people made it up. If it were real, which it’s not, you’d be shocked by how boring it is. Very boring. People would be very disappointed.”
Critics have long argued that Santa Claus maintains a client list of powerful figures who have engaged in naughty behavior, yet these individuals allegedly receive preferential treatment, in the form of high-value gifts, in exchange for their silence.
When pressed even further on why he refuses to have the Naughty List released, Trump pivoted by asking reporters why they aren’t asking what’s in Nancy Pelosi’s stocking.
“I hear it’s full of coal. Tremendous lumps of coal because she’s been very, very bad.”
