LONDON, ENGLAND– Millions of British citizens flooded their local election offices and voted in the leader of the Labour Party Keir Starmer after the center-left politician promised to make a bold move by increasing everyone’s tea time by a whopping fifteen minutes.
According to Starmer’s statistics, increasing tea time was one of the most important issues to people in the UK, far outweighing the government focusing on rising crime, immigration, and increasing prices.
“If I don’t do anything else while in office I promise I’ll increase tea time by fifteen minutes, mates,” said Starmer in an acceptance speech while drinking a cup of coffee. “It was a winning strategy, by Jove, and I promise to spend my entire time in office trying to get this done, I will, you blokes. And the rest of the time I’ll be increasing mass migration into the UK and sending billons more pounds to both Ukraine and Israel. Cheers.”
Tea time in England usually takes place in late afternoon and lasts approximately thirty to forty minutes, with the majority of British citizens claiming that it’s difficult to get in enough tea in that short amount of time and have been begging their government for years to up the elaborate affair to at least an hour long.
In his first order of business as the new prime minister, Starmer actually decreased tea time by fifteen minutes due to the fact that most politicians just do the exact opposite of what they campaign on doing.
