NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK– To show his appreciation for helping him get elected, newly elected Islamic NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani has extended a “heartfelt” invitation to his LGBTQ+ supporters to join him for an exclusive rooftop afterparty. The event, billed as a “unity celebration,” promises “champagne, dancing, and breathtaking views of the Manhattan skyline.”
Zohran Mamdani, known for his progressive rhetoric during the campaign, assured gay voters he’d be their “champion in City Hall” and not to worry about all those rumors about Muslims throwing gay people off of very high rooftops.
“Hello, my brothers, glad you could make it,” said Mamdani as he led a couple men toward the roof’s edge. “Wow, look at the beautiful view. If you really want to appreciate the view you’ll probably need to get as close to the edge of the roof as possible. Maybe even stand up on the ledge. Here, I’ll help you up.”
While outwardly inclusive, the gesture has raised suspicion within the community, given Mamdani’s professed Islamic faith and the Quran’s well-documented stance on homosexuality.
The rooftop venue, located in a Midtown high-rise, boasts panoramic views of the Manhattan skyline-and a 30-story drop to the concrete below. While Mamdani’s team insists the event is merely a “symbolic gesture of unity,” many conservatives are drawing uncomfortable parallels to ISIS’s infamous rooftop executions in Raqqa.
As of press time, over 500 RSVPs have been confirmed, with many attendees expressing excitement about the “unforgettable night.” Meanwhile, Mamdani has been spotted practicing his “throwing form” in a private gym.
