WASHINGTON– Members of Congress have delivered a stern warning in response to President Donald Trump’s recent executive order to lower the cost of prescription drugs, saying that the most-favored nation drug plan may have a negative effect on the Big Pharma bribes given to corrupt politicians.
Senators Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren gave a nervous interview on MSNBC to issue the dire warning of the negative impact Trump’s executive order may have on their pharmaceutical donations.
“President Trump’s executive order to lower drug prices will cause major problems,” said Bernie Sanders as he shook his fist at the air. “What the American people don’t realize is that Trump’s order to give them cheaper drugs and the ability to save money will possibly hurt my bank account from getting less kickbacks from the pharmaceutical industry.”
Sanders and Warren called Trump’s plan to help Americans save money both “reckless and irresponsible” by not taking into account the millions of dollars politicians may lose from the bribes they receive to push drugs and vaccines.
When asked by the MSNBC host about all the times he promised to lower drug prices if he was president, Bernie scolded the anchor for his “nonsense” and told him that the interview was over.
