WASHINGTON– While attending the funeral of former President Jimmy Carter held at the National Cathedral, sitting President Joe Biden gave his farewell address right before giving the casket of the 39th president one final sniff goodbye.
With all five living presidents saying their last words to the late Jimmy Carter, Biden was the last person to get up to speak and shock the crowd of attendees and family members when he bent down to run his hairy nose along the side of the casket.
“Johnny Carpenter was not only a great president, but also a great friend,” said Biden in his speech, referring to Jimmy Carter. “I still remember the time my son Beau died fighting space aliens on the planet Endor and ole Johnny Carpenter was there for me while I was grieving alone in the shower with family. Thanks for everything, Johnny. This one’s for you, Jack.”
With tears in his eyes, Biden then proceeded to walk over to the casket and bend down to take one final whiff of former President Jimmy Carter before Secret Service would lead him away to change his diaper.
Biden later apologized for the minor faux pas and promised to make it up to the Carter family by sending another $69 billion to Ukraine.
