WASHINGTON– Stress levels were at an all-time high for U.S. politicians after first reports were saying that Hurricane Idalia was headed toward Ukraine, but they were quickly relieved once they heard the good news that the catastrophic storm only hit the state of Florida.
Both Democrats and Republicans were giving each other high-fives and thumb’s up in their bipartisan support for Ukraine over the United States and said that it’s about time we all come together and show our support by donating to the Ukraine Hurricane Relief Fund.
“Whew, that was a close one,” said Republican presidential candidate Mike Pence as he cried over the thought of the damages that could have happened to Ukraine. “By the grace of God thankfully that dangerous hurricane veered its path away from Ukraine and headed toward those southern United States areas that I’m not really concerned about.”
President Biden said he will be immediately flying over to the Ukraine to assess the damages not caused by Hurricane Idalia and has ordered Congress to prepare another $600 trillion aid package to be sent to Ukraine to help Zelensky recover from the catastrophe that could have happened.
“We really dodged a bullet with that hurricane coming so close to Ukraine,” said Biden while the Florida coast continued to get pounded by the storm. “I just want American citizens who were affected by the hurricane to know that I will be sending aid immediately to Ukraine to help the country to recover from the damage that you went through.”
While U.S. politicians were over in Ukraine consoling Zelensky, numerous celebrities came together to put out a video begging Americans who were personally affected by Hurricane Idalia to reach deep down into their pockets and give whatever money they can to the Ukraine Hurricane Relief Fund.
