JERUSALEM, ISRAEL– In an effort to continue his quest to combat dangerous antisemitism, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis flew to Israel this week to sign a bill cracking down on any and all criticism of the popular Jewish-themed movie The Hebrew Hammer.
While continuing his lengthy worldwide book tour that definitely doesn’t have anything to do with him maybe-possibly-kind of-who knows running for president, DeSantis signed into Florida law the “Protect Jewish Movies” bill that makes it a felony for anyone to criticize, dislike, or say in public anything negative about The Hebrew Hammer movie starring Adam Goldberg.
“How can anyone not love this movie,” said DeSantis while kissing a poster of The Hebrew Hammer. “I refuse to stand by idly while hate groups defame the greatest movie ever made. If I were president, my first priority would be to sign an executive order replacing the US Constitution with a movie script of The Hebrew Hammer.”
Supporters of DeSantis have applauded the governor’s tireless efforts at protecting Jewish cinema, saying that the Florida politician hasn’t gone far enough and that Floridians should be forced to watch The Hebrew Hammer on a daily loop and anyone who disagrees should face stiffer penalties including up to execution.
Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised DeSantis, saying “He’s a fan of The Hebrew Hammer. Ron and I spoke for hours quoting lines from the movie.”
