HOT SPRINGS, FLORIDA– Police arrested a blind man accused of using his black Labrador Retriever seeing eye dog to look up unsuspecting women’s skirts at a popular strip mall on Tuesday.
A mall customer told a police officer that they saw the blind man smiling as the dog was lying on the ground staring up the women’s skirts and dresses.
Surveillance video showed the suspect, identified as 36 year old Helon Kellar, walking his dog toward the women as though he was blind and had no idea where he was going.
Witnesses claim the man was using the dog as a way to lure the women closer to him due to the fact that the dog, identified as 5 year old Mikko, is cute and cuddly and is like a magnet to young attractive women.
After arresting and booking both Kellar and Mikko, police decided that the dog Mikko was actually the mastermind behind the crimes and was the one who was taking advantage of the disabled blind man Kellar. The blind man was released back out into public without another guide dog.
“We’re charging Mikko with felony voyeurism,” said Officer Frank Drebin. “After going over the evidence, it’s obvious that the canine suspect Mikko was using Kellar as a way to lure unsuspecting women closer to be able to look up their skirts.”
Blind rights activists are outraged that a healthy able-bodied dog would trick his blind disabled owner in such a criminal way. Mikko has already been dubbed ‘Mikko the sicko’ by news media outlets.
Mikko the dog is also being charged with exploiting a disabled person, human abuse, indecent exposure, lewdness, sexual battery, rape, has to register as a sex offender, and is set to be castrated in front of a large crowd of blind people.
