BENTON, IDAHO– A Benton man has filed a restraining order against his own shadow, claiming that the alleged stalker has been following him around everywhere he goes, especially on sunny days.
According to The Benton Breeze, 46 year old Nathan Origami went to court on Monday and filed the restraining order and also presented the judge with various photos showing the shadow standing behind him in restaurants, at work, and even inside of his bathroom.
“I’m doing what I have to do to protect myself,” Origami said after the court granted him the restraining order. “This definitely has taken a toll on me and the only way I can get any sleep at night is if my room’s pitch-black. For some strange reason, this scumbag stalker’s too afraid to show his face in the dark.”

The judge on the case, The Honorable Han Meover, says that shadows stalking victims is a lot more common than people think.
“Most victims are too afraid to come forward,” Judge Meover explained. “Unfortunately, many victims of shadow-stalking often drop the charges once they get to the courthouse and see that their stalker is still following them. For some reason, almost all the restraining orders I’ve granted have been on cloudy days, at night, or whenever the power goes out inside the courthouse.”
