HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA– Star Wars fans around the world are rejoicing at the news that the next Star Wars movie Vogue One will feature the first ever transgender R2D2 droid, ushering in a brave new era where droids can finally be accepted for who they were built as.
According to Entertainment Tonight, the new Vogue One movie will focus less on the battle between good and evil and more on R2D2’s struggle to overcome the brave transition from whatever gendered droid he was originally to the new gender. Over half of the story will also deal with R2D2’s friends and co-workers as they come to accept the droid’s new identity.

“This will be a more realistic portrayal of the Star Wars universe,” said 54 year old Benny Horowitz, one of Vogue One’s producers. “This new movie will explain the backstory of R2D2’s struggle and also why he kept this a secret for every Star Wars movie that has ever come out prior to this one.”
Over the past week, there was much speculation that it was C-3PO who was going through the transgender process, being that he’s thin, neat, single, and is fluent in over 6,000,000 languages.
“It was hard keeping this under wraps,” Horowitz added. “The internet was ablaze with rumors that C-3PO was the one who was undergoing the transgender process because of how thin and neat he is. We had to tell people that that’s a gay stereotype, not a transgendered one.”
In addition to R2D2’s groundbreaking transition, Horowitz promises yet another revelation to be revealed in Vogue One.
“I can’t give away too many details,” he said, tight-lipped. “I’ll only say that it kinda involves Chewbacca and kinda involves Han Solo being kinda more than just friends.”
