GALVESTON,TEXAS– A leader in the hair restoration industry has recently created a separate hair club strictly for animals called Fur Club, opening its first clinic in the Galveston area.
Due to the success of Fur Club, the organization has decided to branch out across the United States and also plans on entering into the Mexican market where owners prefer their pets with hair on their heads before eating them.
Since its inception last year, Fur Club has treated over 50,000 bald or balding pets, with some owners bringing their pets into the clinic from as far away as New Jersey.
“Fur Club has changed the lives of many animals,” said Gary Squires, Fur Club Sr. Regional Vice President. “Our experienced staff has been trained in the art of animal follicular transference. Even though we’ve become experts in human hair restoration procedures, animal hair transplants are still new territory.”
The hair restoration process is a very delicate procedure. Hair surgeons must first tranquilize the animal before removing fur from the pet’s donor area, which is usually from the animal’s buttocks. If the animal doesn’t have enough fur on its donor area than donations can be made from the pet’s human owner’s buttock hair supply.
“Yes, some animals don’t have enough fur on their bottoms to finish their procedures,” Squires added. “So owner’s have the option of donating their own hair to their pets.”
