WASHINGTON — In an effort to dispel mounting conspiracy theories regarding the Senator’s seven-week disappearance from the public eye, the office of Mitch McConnell released a highly encouraging health update, announcing the 84-year-old lawmaker is undergoing rigorous physical therapy and making a spectacular, steady recovery from being completely dead.
Physicians described the senator’s condition as extremely encouraging, noting there have been no additional signs of deterioration for well over a month.
“The Senator is working hard to get back to his full schedule,” read a statement released by his office. “Since his initial hospitalization on June 14, he has maintained a strenuous course of rehabilitation. While overcoming complete biological expiration takes time, his rigor mortis has improved significantly, and he is successfully maintaining a heart rate of zero without any assistance. In fact, he’s shown absolutely no worsening of his deadness whatsoever.”
Doctors also praised the senator’s remarkable consistency, noting he has maintained the exact same facial expression, posture, and level of responsiveness for weeks.
At press time, doctors announced Mitch McConnell’s condition had been upgraded from “recovering from being dead” to “expected to make a full recovery from being dead,” while his office promised to release an even more convincing AI-generated photo later this week featuring the senator successfully completing a mission aboard the International Space Station.
