ROTHERHAM, UK — In a dramatic, early-morning raid that authorities are hailing as a massive victory for online safety, armed officers from the Metropolitan Police successfully breached a known criminal compound, rescued a 15-year-old girl, and immediately tackled her to the ground for illegally accessing TikTok.
Officers breached the compound and found the traumatized teenager held captive by a syndicate of Pakistani men. However, the mood of the rescue quickly shifted when a keen-eyed constable noticed the girl was holding a smartphone displaying a banned 15-second TikTok dance video.
