WASHINGTON — Following yet another unprecedented, behind-the-scenes disclosure of the Supreme Court’s internal deliberations to left-leaning news outlets, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson declined to comment on the ongoing security breaches Tuesday, telling reporters that she could not weigh in on the matter because she is not a plumber.
The controversy began early this week when a highly sensitive, internal memo regarding the Court’s upcoming docket mysteriously found its way onto the front page of Politico and The New York Times, raising concerns that the Court’s internal security protocols may be compromised.
When reached for comment outside the Supreme Court building, Jackson appeared visibly confused by reporters’ questions about the source of the leak.
“I cannot answer that question,” Jackson told news reporters when asked to provide a definition of a ‘leak’ and whether it undermines the integrity of the highest court in the land. “Can I provide a definition for the word ‘leak’ in this context? No, I cannot. I don’t know what a leak is. I’m not a plumber.”
At press time, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson declined further questions, noting she is ‘also not an English teacher.’
