WASHINGTON– At his wits end due to Zelensky’s unwillingness to come to the table to end the ongoing war, President Donald Trump told the Ukrainian president that if he doesn’t accept the peace deal proposal immediately then he would be left with no choice but to send Vice President JD Vance to Ukraine to have a “meeting” with him.
Once he heard Zelensky telling news reporters he wasn’t willing to negotiate to end the Ukraine-Russia war, an incensed Trump got on the phone and threatened that he would send JD Vance over for a face-to-face meeting.
“Zelensky, what’s this I hear you’re not accepting this peace deal?” Trump asked irately as decided to try one more tactic before giving up. “Now, listen here. We have to get this big, beautiful peace deal done today or the United States is walking away. You hear me? So, if you don’t accept this current deal then I’ll be left with no choice but to send Vice President Vance over to have a meeting with you.”
While Zelensky cried into the phone, Trump reminded him of what happened to Pope Francis only moments after JD Vance had finished talking to him.
After seeing how effective it was at using meetings with JD Vance as leverage, Trump released a statement on Truth Social saying the next federal judge who blocked one of his executive orders would also be on the receiving end of a meeting with the US vice president.
