LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA– After facing intense scrutiny and criticism for his handling of the devastating California wildfires, Governor Gavin Newsom took to social media to warn everyone that the raging fires and billions of dollars in damages are simply AI-generated deep fakes and not to worry.
Newsom also held a press conference in Los Angeles to prove to everyone that there are no wildfires and that the whole thing was just a far-right conspiracy theory started by Donald Trump, Elon Musk and their online trolls.
“California is the safest, and most fire-free state in the country,” boasted Gavin Newsom, standing in front of a supposedly deepfake burnt down neighborhood. “There are absolutely no wildfires here in California. If you see any videos, pictures, or even eyewitness testimony saying otherwise, just know that’s simply not true because these fires are actually AI-generated images and videos created by President-Elect Trump’s team to try and make me look bad.”
Standing in front of the charred remains of what appeared to be dozens of homes and businesses, Newsom pointed to the burnt down buildings and told news reporters that everything they’re looking at is fake.
The Democrat governor also claimed that his entire governorship has been AI-generated because no one could do that terrible of a job running a state.
