NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK– As part of an ABC defamation lawsuit settlement with President-Elect Donald Trump, a judge has ordered the network to pay $15 million as well as required the defamer George Stephanopoulos to do the Trump dance shimmy before the start of every This Week news broadcast.
Stephanopoulos started off today’s program with a message to his audience about a few upcoming changes to the show, including him having to do a one minute rendition of Trump’s famous YMCA rally dance.
“I’d like to start off by apologizing to my liberal viewers,” said George in front of the camera as he got up from his seat. “As you all may or may not know, I was sued by President-Elect Donald Trump for spreading fake news about Trump being a rapist. As part of the agreement, I have been ordered by the court to do the Trump dance for one minute before every show while the song YMCA plays in the background.”
While George gave a lackluster performance of the Trump dance, ABC producers could be heard in the background yelling at the diminutive host to start doing a more believable job of dancing or he’ll find himself on the unemployment line with all the other fake news losers who were terminated recently.
When reached for comment on George’s dancing skills, Trump was quoted as saying, “It was terrible. The worst I’ve ever seen, if you want to know the truth. There’s no way I dance like that. I think George needs a little more practice.” Trump later sued ABC, saying George was mocking him by the way he was dancing. As part of the new settlement, Stephanopoulos must now dance for five minutes and also wear a MAGA hat for the entire program.
