U.S.– America is known as the land of opportunity, and one former McDonald’s worker and trash man named Donald Trump has achieved success and has even been recently given the prestigious title of TIME magazine’s “Person of the Year.”
The 78-year-old Donald Trump started out as a lowly fast food fry cook and garbage collector before being promoted to the president of the United States by defeating his Democrat opponent Kamala Harris in a landslide election. The rags-to-riches success story prompted the editors at TIME to name the common man as their person of the year.
“I appreciate TIME naming me as person of the year,” said Trump during a recent interview regarding his rise to fame. “I’m living the American dream, and I’ve proved that even someone who works at McDonald’s can go on to become the president of the United States and end up being the most important person in the world. I’d like to thank my former McDonald’s boss Dave for giving me encouragement and telling me that I could be president someday if I put my mind to it.”
Trump said that just because he will be the next president of the United States it doesn’t mean that he has forgotten where he came from, promising to bring some of his old coworkers into the White House to be both his personal cooks and official trash collectors.
The president-elect said that he also plans on returning to his job as a trashman as soon as his presidential term is up in four years.
