WASHINGTON– Mourning Democrat politicians held a candlelight vigil this morning for their fallen hero Ebrahim Raisi of Iran, calling the late Iranian president an austere scholar and one of the kindest, gentlest souls who was simply misunderstood.
After news spread that the helicopter carrying President Raisi had crashed and killed the Butcher of Tehran, US Democrats immediately took to Twitter X to send their condolences to the Iranian president who was hated by most of his own citizens for killing thousands of people.
“President Raisin was a great man,” wrote AOC on her X account, referring to President Raisi. “Today I grieve for the man who touched so many people’s lives in an extraordinary way. President Raisin died while flying on his way to save babies inside of a burning building to stop transphobic climate change. He merely did what he had to do to feed his family. In his honor I will be eating a bowl of Raisin Bran cereal for lunch. R.I.P.”
President Joe Biden weighed in on the death of President Raisi, saying that Ebrahim Raisi could have easily been one of his own sons.
“When Iran’s president died I told my wife Michelle he could have been my own son,” said Biden in a revised version of former President Barack Obama’s famous Trayvon Martin speech. “Another way of saying that is President Raisi could have been me 35 years ago.”
Biden went on to say that his son Beau also died in that helicopter crash in Iran while on his way to slay dragons on the planet Tatooine.
