KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI– Immediately after football team the Kansas City Chiefs made it to the Super Bowl, pop star Taylor Swift took to social media to congratulate her boyfriend Travis Kelce on making it to the World Series with the baseball team Kansas City Royals.
In a series of Twitter X posts, Taylor expressed her excitement and pride for Kelce’s accomplishment, saying not every girl is lucky like her to have a boyfriend who makes it all the way to the Major League Baseball’s annual championship series.
“OMG! Can’t believe my amazing boyfriend, uh, what’s his name, Travon, or um, Terry, whatever, is going to the World Series with the Royals,” wrote Taylor on her Twitter X account. “So proud of you, babe! I can’t wait to wear my official Trevor Kearney hockey jersey when you and your team beat the Chicago Bulls. Good luck, Tracy!”
Swiftie fans were quick to respond to the superstar singer’s odd posts with confusion, but decided to just play along and pretend that Taylor made sense since they have no brain of their own to make their own decisions.
“So happy for you, Taylor,” wrote a Taylor Swift fan named Maddie on her social media account. “I always knew your boyfriend Trevor would make it to the World Series because of that time he hit that baseball out of the park. Wow, what an awesome baseball game that was.”
Taylor thanked her fans for supporting her boyfriend Travis, and made them a promise, saying,” Thanks a lot, you guys. Your support for my guy, um, Tremont, means the world to me. When he kicks that soccer ball in the net during the NBA Finals next week I’ll dedicate it to all of you!”
In order to not anger his extremely popular girlfriend, Travis was forced to change the name on all his jerseys to “Trevor Kearney” and carry a baseball bat out onto the football field whenever playing.
