TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA– In order to avert another unlawful alien invasion, Governor Ron DeSantis ordered law enforcement to capture Hurricane Idalia as soon as it touched land in Florida and have the illegal intruder sent up to Martha’s Vineyard.
In a press conference earlier this morning, DeSantis confirmed that his administration had the hurricane relocated to a Democrat-run sanctuary destination.
“Florida is not a sanctuary state for illegal hurricanes,” said DeSantis to a cheering crowd. “We take our border very seriously, unlike President Biden. If you vote for me in 2024 I promise to round up every illegal hurricane and ship them off to Democrat sanctuary cities until they get so tired of the damage that they do something about this illegal invasion.”
The Republican presidential candidate said that every community in America should share in the burden of hurricanes, not just a handful of southern red states.
Democrats have criticized DeSantis for sending Hurricane Idalia to Martha’s Vineyard, accusing him of playing politics with people’s lives.
Hurricane activists have called this a political stunt and accused DeSantis of being a soulless human being who has used innocent hurricanes as props to gain points with Republicans for the upcoming presidential election.
A poll taken after the relocation of Hurricane Idalia showed DeSantis gaining a few points among conservatives, but then a later poll showed him losing those points again after numerous Republican voters were killed after the hurricane was transferred up north.
