WASHINGTON– Confusion happened at the White House Tuesday when Secret Service agents were assigned to the president’s laundry duty and forgot to take down First Lady Jill Biden after hanging her dress up to dry on a clothesline on the White House lawn.
Agents inadvertently left Jill inside the dress before hanging it up on the clothesline, not realizing that the First Lady was still wearing it.
“It’s a simple mistake that I’m sure every one of us has made at some point,” said Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre in reference to accidentally hanging a person up to dry. “I don’t know how many times I’ve mistakenly thrown my girlfriend in the washing machine and then taken her out and shoved her into the dryer.”
Joe Biden praised the thoroughness of his Secret Service detail and commented that he too has on many occasions washed his wife’s clothes in the washing machine while she was still wearing them, saying he sometimes forgets she’s in there and doesn’t hang up her to dry until a few days later.
“I’ve done the same thing many times to my darling wife Janet,” said Biden, referring to his wife Jill.
At publishing time, the DOJ opened yet another investigation into Donald Trump on why he never had his Secret Service agents put his wife Melania up to dry. Trump is facing a maximum penalty of 69 years in prison if convicted.
