AUSTIN, TEXAS– In a major win that may turn the tide and help Beto O’Rourke defeat current Governor Greg Abbott in the Texas gubernatorial race, famous Chia Pet has come out and voiced its support for the Democratic candidate and fans have gone crazy with excitement over the major endorsement.
Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke was quick to take to social media to brag about the terracotta figurine throwing its support behind him, saying it was an honor and a privilege having a Chia Pet while he was a young man in his forties.
“Thanks, Chia Pet!” wrote Beto on a captioned photo of him and Chia Pet standing alone in the middle of the desert. Beto’s tweet garnered a massive 169 likes, especially after he shared a video of himself handing out high fives and posing for photos with various garden gnomes and tree shrubs.
Although Chia Pet hails from China, the figurine said it wanted to use its fame to help get people out to vote for the Democrat politician who had no chance of winning the race for Texas governor, that is, until receiving Chia Pet’s endorsement.
Numerous other high-profile, influential celebrities have also recently come out and showed their support for Beto, including the Pet Rock, a Hula Hoop, the Snuggie, the Flowbee, and the Shake Weight.
