RENO, NEVADA– Police responded to a 911 call after a man reported a violent pillow fight taking place on the couch of his living room home between his two favorite pillows.
According to the home owner, the fight broke out between his two couch pillows, Chenille and Chiffon, at approximately 12:30 am over which one of them they believed the man liked the most.
“This was a case of jealously between two pillows who both assumed that they were their owner’s favorite,” said Officer Frank Cotton to news reporters. “Being that we were unable to ascertain which pillow started the fight and due to the fact that both of them had physical injuries, we were left with no choice but to arrest both of the suspects.”
The homeowner claimed that he loves both of his pillows equally, but says that he sometimes favors Chenille due to its softer yet firmer texture that feels more comfortable behind his neck whenever he relaxes on the couch.
“The homeowner believes that Chiffon grew increasingly angry over the extended amount of time the man spent with rival Chenille,” said the officer. “Pillow fighting can be very dangerous, with many pillows receiving serious injuries, such as ripped fabric and losing their stuffing.”
Police are warning homeowners with more than one pillow to be on the lookout for any odd behavior from any of their pillows and to lock up problem pillows inside separate rooms before retiring to bed at night.
