RIYADH, SAUDI ARABIA– President Joe Biden has caused an international controversy once again during his trip to Saudi Arabia after forgetting to remove his white bathrobe and towel before meeting the crown prince and other foreign dignitaries.
The president caused a major stir when he met with Saudi government officials while wearing a towel on his head, with hundreds of Twitter bots calling for his removal for culturally appropriating another country’s customs.
“What’s everybody staring at me for?” Biden was overheard saying while getting his photo taken with Saudi royalty. “Can’t a guy take a shower in peace without having everyone watching. What I do in the privacy of my own bathroom with naked family members is nobody elses business, Jack!”
This isn’t the first time Biden embarrassed the United States while on a diplomatic mission to another country. Last year, the president faced major criticism after crapping his pants inside the Vatican restroom in Rome and then leaving his soiled trousers on the Pope’s personal toilet.
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was quick to dispel any rumors that Biden wore a towel and bathrobe in front of the world, saying the photos were obviously photoshopped by Donald Trump trolls in an effort to make Biden look like a senile, old fool.
“President Biden did not wear a towel on his head while visiting Saudi Arabia,” said Jean-Pierre, doing her best to lie with a straight face. “This is completely untrue. The president only appeared to have been wearing a white towel and robe due to a glare coming from the camera reflecting off of the Saudi prince’s clothes. President Biden was in fact naked as he usually is whenever meeting with foreign government officials.”
