NOTFALL, VERMONT– In what turned out to be a complete waste of time and money, a female 911 operator and another woman repeatedly called 911 on each other yesterday after the first woman didn’t like how the 911 operator spoke to her.
According to police, 38 year old Franny Oleburger called 911 to complain about a female mail carrier who had delivered mail to her house and had forgotten to close the mailbox lid when she got into another verbal altercation with the 911 operator over the tone of the second woman’s voice.
“Our investigators are investigating the case,” said Detective Frank Brownstain to reporters. “Apparently the 911 operator knows the woman who had initially called 911, who turns out to be her own sister. What’s even more bonkers is the fact that the female mail carrier is also a sister to the woman and the 911 operator.”
The 911 operator, who’s name is being withheld other than her last name which is Oleburger, said that she too has had trouble with her mail carrier sister not closing the lid on her mailbox.
“The two Oleburger sisters will be charged with a misdemeanor for making false 911 calls,” Detective Brownstain added as he played one of the 911 calls to reporters and chuckled. “The Oleburger sister who’s the mail carrier faces federal crimes for not doing her job properly while working as a federal employee. I know, it doesn’t seem fair, but I don’t make the rules.”
Detective Brownstain wants everyone to know that 911 is only to be used for emergency situations, not because a sibling has spoken in a demeaning tone. The only 911 call that was legitimate was the initial call against the mail carrier.
