TRENTON, NEW JERSEY– Former presidential candidate and New Jersey governor Chris Christie recently came out with his own line of fleeces called Chris Wear, which is already in production and is expected to hit store shelves just in time for the heat of summer.
In an interview with The Fabulous Fashionista magazine, Christie explained how he came up with the idea for his own clothing line and how he plans on branching out into other articles of clothing.
“I owe it all to the people of the internet,” Christie said with a smile. “So many wiseguys made fun of me whenever I wore one of my fleeces out in public. I figured the best revenge would be for me to come out with my own line of fleeces and shove it right in their giggling faces. We’ll see who has the last laugh when my clothes are on the back of every husky man throughout America.
“But I’m not stoppin’ there, oh no,” Christie added as he signaled for a plus-size male model to show off the new fleece. “I’m also comin’ out with a fleece that you can wear under the other fleece. That way, when one of these smart alecks cracks a joke about your fleece you can pretend like you’re takin’ it off and that’s when you reveal yet another fleece under that one. It’s sorta like a one-two punch right to the gut.”
Every time a husky man wears a Chris Wear fleece, says Christie, it’ll be like giving the internet funnymen a big middle fingered gesture.
“Let’s see these smart-asses make fun of me now,” said Christie heatedly. “I guess my new Chris Wear fleece line will take the wind right outta these guys sails. It’s gonna be really hard for these hotshots to try and Photoshop me when I already beat ’em to the punch.”
Look for the Chris Wear fleece to hit Burger Kings by mid summer and retail for $6.99 with an order of fries.
