UK– A British man was dragged out of his home and arrested on Friday by police after posting on his personal Facebook page that the UK does not have free speech.
Only hours after the British man made the claim on his social media account that the UK has a free speech problem, UK police dressed in SWAT gear raided the man’s home before proceeding to beat, mace, and arrest the citizen in an effort to save democracy.
UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer gave an urgent press conference to address the situation and declared the event a national emergency, saying that the UK has a long and proud history of free speech and that anyone who disagrees with that sentiment will be arrested immediately.
“The UK has the most freedoms of any other country in the world,” said PM Starmer in front of 10 Downing Street as his nose started to grow. “A British citizen was arrested this morning for claiming that the UK does not have free speech. What a preposterous statement. The UK does in fact have free speech and anyone who disagrees with that will be arrested.”
The prime minister went on to say that the British man will remain detained facing criminal charges for the citizen’s claim that the UK government’s claim of free speech is false.
“We cannot have citizen’s posting publicly that the UK restricts their speech,” said Starmer without a shred of remorse.
