WASHINGTON– India has been reeling after an angry President Donald Trump placed a massive 1000% tariff on their Asian country, telling them he will increase the tariffs every week until they get those annoying Indian scammers to stop calling his phone.
After almost mistakenly giving an Indian scammer his credit card information over the phone for a nonexistent virus on his computer, Trump lashed out by posting on his Truth Social account that the tariffs will stay in place until India’s Prime Minister Modi does something about it.
“Another one of these scammers called my phone,” wrote Trump on Truth Social. “This was the twentieth scam call I’ve gotten today. Don’t those idiots have anything better to do? Until President Modi gets those crooks to stop calling my phone to tell me I have to pay them to remove a virus on my laptop, I will be placing a 1000% tariff on India, with a 1000% increase every week until it stops. MAGA.”
With Trump now wise to the virus scams, the Indian scammers tried fooling the president by calling to tell him they were from Amazon and he needed to give them his credit card information so that he could get a refund for a package that he didn’t know that he had ordered.
A bit of good news, Trump said that perhaps the large tariffs on India will bring more call scamming jobs back to the United States.
