WASHINGTON– A major controversy has struck the Trump administration after a journalist from The Atlantic was added accidentally to a group chat where Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth shared a meme showing the face of Vice President JD Vance on President Donald Trump’s body.
The earthshattering discovery was announced by the journalist who said he was shocked, scared, and totally disgusted that an official of the government would do such a thing. Democrats quickly took to Twitter X to call the JD Vance meme leak “totally irresponsible,” and have called on President Trump to fire Pete Hegseth for making such a terrible meme.
“This is the worst tragedy in our country since 911,” wrote Democrat Senator Chuck Schumer on X. “This is yet another blatant disregard for our Constitution and a government overreach by the Trump administration. I’m calling on President Trump to fire everyone involved in the Signal group chat who passed around the JD Vance meme and laughed at it.”
The JD Vance memes have become very popular online, and even the vice president himself has shared a few of the memes on his X account in a show of support for the humor.
Former President Joe Biden released a statement on social media calling Trump “weak,” saying that if he were president he would have imprisoned the meme maker just like he did when he arrested the man who made the Hillary Clinton election meme.
