MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA– Democratic Vice Presidential candidate Tim Walz has been facing accusations of stolen valor once again after claiming in an unearthed video that he served during the Revolutionary War fighting for America against the British army.
Tim Walz has already falsely claimed numerous times to have fought in other wars, but explained that he either simply misspoke or people just misinterpreted what he had said.
The Minnesota governor defended his previous statement of serving under General George Washington in the 1700s and has accused the Republicans of dishonoring his service to his country.
“It’s disgusting how Republicans are accusing me of not fighting in the Revolutionary War,” said Tim Walz heatedly as news outlets began concocting their coverup story. “I served honorably in the United States military and people should be thanking me or we’d all be speaking English right now if the British had won.”
Kamala Harris praised her running mate’s bravery at fighting off the false reports that Walz wasn’t actually alive in 1775 and then pointed out how Donald Trump got a draft deferment to get out of having to fight in the American Revolution.
Walz said he’s proud of all the other wars he has fought, including World War 2, the French Revolution, the Chinese Civil War, and The Crusades. The Harris campaign stated that anyone who questions the veracity of Walz’s claims is a far-right, bigoted, anti-American Trump supporter.
