NEW YORK, NEW YORK– After sustaining an injury to his Achilles tendon during a game, New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers told everyone that he has quickly recovered due to following his doctors’ advice to just “walk it off.”
While jumping up and down to show sports reporters how great he feels, Super Bowl winner Rodgers admitted he thought his career had ended. That was until the quick-thinking treatment given to him by the football team’s group of medical professionals cured the normally season-ending injury.
“I’d like to thank the geniuses from the Jets’ team physicians,” said Rodgers while kicking a tree stump. “If it wasn’t for their quick-thinking and vast medical knowledge of being able to come up with the idea for me to just walk it off then I may have missed this entire season, or worse, I may have never been able to play in the NFL again.”
The doctor who examined Rodgers and came up with the treatment to just walk it off said that only people who have spent many years in medical school are able to make these types of decisions.
This isn’t the first time NFL doctors have prescribed walk it off as a treatment for serious injuries. Just last year, Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin was brought back to life after his physicians had him walk it off to be able to feel better.
